MAE 184 Flight Simulation Techniques

This class went over the basics of developing flight simulation software, such as aircraft terminologies, numerical methods, models for the atmosphere, models for aircraft forces, and applications of flight simulations. This class culminated in a final project, where a JSBSim model of a Cessna 182 was tuned and modified to account for an airbrake added to the bottom of the fuselage (referencing this Redbull Stunt). This simulation was coupled with a Python program and Blender file to extract important data and visualize the spin.
