Carbon Fiber Composite Aeroshells

From December 31, 2021, to January 6, 2022, Devin Ho and his friend Alex Porter (LinkedIn) practiced performing a Carbon Fiber layup to create 3-inch inner diameter Carbon Fiber Aeroshells in order to get L1 rocketry certified in the future. They purchased all the raw materials and design and manufactured the manufacturing equipment including jigs and mandrels. They started by laying up two smaller, 6-inch long fiberglass tubes to practice. They then layed up two large, 2.5-feet long carbon fiber aeroshells.
