Compressor and Housing

Compressor and Housing

This was a simple project to turn a spare compressor from an FRC Robot into a fully functional air compressor unit, fit with regulators, control valves, and an independent power source. Devin focused on both form and function, trying to fit the ugly compressor components into a clean, contained package.

The compressor is powered by an 18V DC drill battery, which is stepped down to 12V 6A DC to match the compressor specs.

The unit consists of a pressure gauge, a pressure relief valve, a control valve, and an optional regulator unit that attaches to the quick disconnects. The compressor and its air storage tank are mounted to a modified and cut IKEA shelf via 3D printed mounts and screws.
